Our social activity program

The socio-cultural activity program is a fundamental part of the Italian course.

What is the socio-cultural activity program?

It is a weekly program consisting of different afternoon activities from Monday to Saturday. Here are examples of some of the activities during the week:

• city tours
• visits to museums
• films at the cinema
• seminars on the Italian language and cultural topics
• playing games together
• aperitifs
• dinners together
• concerts
• excursions

This is just one example because the program changes from week to week. For example, if there is a concert, a play or an interesting cultural event happening, the program will also include these.

Why a socio-cultural activity program?

The weekly program of socio-cultural activities is a very important part of your Italian language course. You will always find yourself in real-life situations (e.g. cinema, theatre, museums, guided tours etc.) in the company of native Italian speakers (e.g. your teachers, guides, chaperones etc.) and these will be fundamental opportunities for you to practise your Italian.

Remember that there is no other way to learn Italian than to dive into a sea of authentic Italian in real-life situations!

Who is the socio-cultural activity program aimed at?

The program is available to all our students, from Absolute Beginners to the more advanced levels. All activities are run in Italian because the social and cultural activity program is fundamental to the learning process of the Italian language and culture.

The program is not mandatory. You are free to participate or not, depending on your personal schedule or commitments, and it always takes place after class in the afternoon or evening.

Is the program free or extra?

The program is available to all our students, from Absolute Beginners to advanced levels. All activities obviously take place in Italian because this program is functional to the process of learning the Italian language and culture.

The program is not compulsory. You are free to participate or not, depending on your personal commitments or schedule, and it always takes place after classes, in the afternoon or evening.

How can I participate in these activities?

Every Monday, you will receive the program of socio-cultural activities in print and by email.

When you want to participate in the activities, just write your name on the sheets you find on the notice board and follow the written instructions.
